Bio & Background

Freddy started his sporting career as a promising middle-distance runner, and was on scholarship with the University of Oregon when an injury led him to take up cycling as rehab. After noticing a natural ability to get uphill quickly, and some lab-testing at the VIS, Freddy was encouraged to make a full-time switch to cycling in 2014.

He has ridden as a stagiare for some of Europe’s best under-23 development teams, including AG2R’s ChambéryCF and Caja Rural. As a Noosa local, Freddy is a natural fit for the ACA, where he continues to develop his road-racing skills and works towards his goal of becoming a top climber and GC contender, while combining his training with studying a combined Arts/ Law degree.
