Originally from a mountain biking background, 2018 was a breakout season for the young Potter on the road with PRSC. Beginning with a third place in the National U23 road race in January, Potter went from strength to strength to become one of the key leaders of the team. He followed this up with his first international UCI win at the Tour de Tochigi in May.
Potter is also in the third year of a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Sydney, which he combines with training and regular domestic and international racing. In early 2019, he placed second in the National U23 road race, and was subsequently chosen in the national team for the prestigious Tour Down Under, a huge honour for the young rider from Willoughby, NSW.
