Cameron Scott claims 2nd in Melle Pro Kermesse in Belgium.

The rider from Camden, NSW, comes from a solid track sprinting background, having represented Australia at the World Junior Championships in multiple events. In 2017 he made the transition to track endurance and was picked up by Cycling Australia for their high-performance program based in Adelaide. Cam had a huge year in 2018 in his first year with ACA, he won the U23 National criterium title, stage 5 of Tour of Qinghai Lake, a stage at the Tour of NZ, and several NRS races. In 2019 Cam was part of the Australian Teams Pursuit that won the UCI World Championships.

HOW DID YOU GET INTO BIKES

I began riding mountain bikes at a young age then progressed to track racing with my local club at the age of 7

SOMETHING WE DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU

I started off as a track sprinter and went to the Junior Worlds where I won a silver medal in the Team Sprint and the 1km Time Trial.

World champion track-cyclist Cameron Scott is returning to the ARA | Pro Racing Sunshine Coast team, after leaving earlier this year to try out for the Australian Olympic track team.
