Riders begin to wrap up their European racing block for 2022

Another big few days of racing for our riders as they begin to wrap up their Europe trip for 2022!

The ladies kicked things off going with back to back UCI races on the weekend with the Dwars door het Hageland UCI 1.1 a tough race with plenty of cobble sections to navigate. The women rode strong to set Sophie up for a top 15 finish.

Next up was the Flanders Diamond Tour UCI 1.1 the girls rode for a sprint, they were in front all day and were at the front with 2km to go setting up the lead out. Unfortunately they got pushed out of the run but a great experience for them in what it's like to contest a European bunch sprint.

For the men it was Elfstedenronde Brugge UCI 1.1 - the guys rode in a great position on the fast and windy course and entered the cobbles circuit making all the front groups splits, unfortunately we couldn't match the WorldTour lead outs though with Cam Scott finishing 8 seconds down the outside of the first 20 men.

The ladies are back again Thursday for their final European race.

Well done ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast.
